Classes

Team GUTS™ is committed to improving the health, fitness and overall well-being of those in our community with special needs and disabilities. We are doing this by offering various adaptive fitness programs in a fun and recreational setting. All Team GUTS™ program sessions include eight (8) classes.

Cardio Dance Fusion

This class is a combination of Jazz, Hip Hop, Latin, and Zumba styles of dance designed to provide easy movements, free range of motion and low impact footwork that can improve coordination, flexibility and cardio health. Experienced instructors use fun and energetic music to provide a creative and inclusive workout.

Flag Football Clinic

This clinic will focus on the basic football skills of running, catching and throwing, while also working on team building and self confidence. Players will learn different drills and various techniques to build self awareness and physical fitness in both football and everyday life. Class is led in a relaxing, non-competitive environment where players learn more about one of the biggest sports in America, make friends and have a really fun time.

Golf

Our four (4) week golf program provides a fun environment for kids to learn more about the basics of golf and improve their skills while having an opportunity to socialize and make friends. We welcome all ages and abilities to our facility.

Keep the Beat

This unique program is a fun and exhilarating drumming class for all ages. Through the use of drumsticks and exercise balls, the program incorporates the joy of music, movement and rhythm while stimulating mental awareness, lowering stress and increasing overall self confidence. Participants will develop core skills in balance, flexibility and movement.

Martial Arts

Beginner
A structured, multiple discipline class lead by an experienced instructor who will assist in form and technique. Our goal is to provide a consistent and repetitive program to increase self awareness, encourage socialization and help build self confidence.

Martial Arts

Intermediate
This intermediate class is for students that have participated in our beginners martial arts program and are ready to take the next step. This class will allow those students to progress in their individual development in the martial arts discipline.

Personal Fitness Training

Our personal fitness is a one-on-one or small group training which uses the Ground Up Training SystemTM to help our clients with special needs meet their personal goals while increasing their overall muscular strength, flexibility, and self-confidence. Call for free consultation

Pilates

Our gentle Pilates class strengthens the spine, increases muscular flexibility, improves balance and core strength. Breathing is also improved, which aids in relaxtion and helps reduce anxiety. Adaptive pilates is made more accessible through adapting poses, using props, and hands-on adjustment, if needed.

Adaptive Fitness Training

This group fitness class is designed to help develop the athletic skills necessary to improve fitness and health through structured physical activity. Each class will include agility, balance, strength and flexibility.

Fun & Fitness Camp

Team GUTS™ Fun & Fitness Camp is a day camp opportunity for children and teens with special needs. Our experienced, caring staff work 1:1 with campers to help them build self confidence, create lasting friendships and try a variety of fitness activities. Our goal is to provide a safe and inclusive place where fitness is fun and campers can be themselves.

Latin Dance

A cardio-dance class fused with Zumba, Salsa, and other Latin-inspired forms that uses captivating music and choreographed steps to increase fitness, range of motion, flexibility, and maintain muscle tone. This class provides an opportunity to connect with others while getting an invigorating and comprehensive work out.

Mind, Body Balance

This gentle, calming class is designed to help each person make positive changes in their body, as well as in their mind. We have developed our class to assist in this balance through a number of relaxation techniques using gentle stretches, soft music, aromatherapy, quiet reflection and more. This 30 minute class creates a safe and calm environment where participants can learn to be still, relax and eventually self regulate.

Street Dance

This class is a combination of jazz, funk and hip hop styles designed to provide loose dance movements, free range of motion and low impact footwork to improve coordination, flexibility and cardio health. Experienced instructors use fun and energetic music to provide a creative and inclusive workout.

Stretch, Flexibility and Core

This gentle class is a head to toe full body stretch that uses movements that flow smoothly to increase flexibility, decrease muscle tension, develop core strength, and improve muscular balance.

Soccer Clinic

Our soccer clinic provides a fun, non-competitive environment where kids will learn more about the basics of soccer, improve their skills through easy drills, while having an opportunity to socialize and make friends. We use adaptive equipment so this class is appropriate for all ages and abilities.

Yoga

Our yoga class is designed to help improve students overall physical and emotional well-being. Adaptive yoga is made more accessible through adapting poses, using props, and hands-on adjustment, if needed.
